︎︎︎ íris is a self-initiated visual project inspired by three films: The Virgin Suicides (1999), Todo sobre Mi Madre (1999), and Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amélie Poulain (2001). What began as a study of their visual worlds evolved into a zine exploring short narratives through image-making, collage, and experimental techniques. Drawing from Dada and Pop Art, the project combines acrylic ink paintings, food photography, and hand-cut collages. At its centre is the story of a mysterious, insecure, yet rebellious and brave woman, inspired by the films’ characters and the spirit of women at the turn of the 21st century. Printed in Risograph, the project embraces the imperfections and colour overlays of the technique, which became a natural extension of its visual language.

íris has since been showcased at over ten art fairs and exhibitions worldwide and is held in libraries across the globe.
